Product Description 5-socket CPU mainboard
The IC693CHS397 is a 5-slot baseboard for the 90-30 series Programmable Logic controller (PLC) series. The hardware was part of GE Fanuc Automation during the active life of the product family, but the PLC family and other products were recently acquired by Emerson Automation. The IC693CHS397 has a total of five (5) slots and another uncounted slot dedicated to the power module. The backboard has one (1) slot dedicated to a central processing unit (CPU) or dedicated module, four (4) slots allocated to I/O, and option modules. It also provides an expansion slot located on the far right of the hardware for rack expansion. Only one (1) CPU is allowed to be installed on this backboard. In addition, the same slot of the CPU (Slot 1) is also compatible with communication modules such as FIP remote I/O scanners and similar modules. Slot 2 and other I/O slots have a unique size and do not fit into any other module. This provides connection security and prevents damage to other modules during installation. The mainboard expansion port provided is a 25-pin D-shaped housing female connector that is installed on the far right side of the hardware. When connecting expansion cables or implementing multiple expansion plates, ensure that the total length of the cables does not exceed 50 feet or 15 meters. The IC693CHS397 is designed for panel mounting via the provided mounting strip. The hardware measures 10.43 x 5.12 x 5.59 inches. (W x H x D), the internal power consumption is 270 mA at 5 VDC.
GE Fanuc IC693CHS397 5-slot baseplate of the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 for hosting modular cpus or cpus, I/O, and dedicated modules. The IC693CHS397 baseboard has five slots for mounting various cpus and other devices that make up a complete PLC or programmable logic controller. Technically, the GE Fanuc IC693CHS397 baseboard has a total of six slots, not just five, but the first slot on the left side is not numbered as it is always and only used to host the PSU. The size and shape of this power socket is different from the numbered five slots, and its size and shape can only accommodate one power supply and not any other power supply. GE Fanuc Series 90-30 IC693CHS397 5-slot CPU The five main slots in the baseboard consist of one CPU slot (the name of the baseboard) and four non-CPU slots that can host the I/O module. The IC693CHS397 also has an I/O expansion bus connector on the far right edge of the backboard, which can be used to extend the I/O communication capability of the backboard beyond what four I/O slots can handle. The expansion and remote backboards can be connected to the IC693CHS397 CPU backboards as part of a large PLC system, but there can only be one CPU backboard in the PLC. The CPU baseboard is always installed in Rack 0 of the PLC system. Since the IC693CHS397 CPU baseboard supports modular cpus, it is easy to replace or upgrade the CPU module if necessary.
